Nuestro Mundo, Inc. is pleased to offer one $1,000 scholarship and two $500 scholarships to students who graduate from an MMSD Spanish dual language immersion program. The scholarship is available to students entering or enrolled in college in the 2026-2027 school year.
Requirements
- Students must be graduating from an MMSD Spanish dual language immersion program.
- Students must demonstrate financial need through eligibility in the free & reduced lunch program.
- Students must be enrolled at least half time during the 2026-2027 school year at an accredited college or university.
Preferences
- Preference is given to first generation college students.
- Preference is given to students that attended Nuestro Mundo Community School.

- As part of the application, you will be asked to submit:
- One letter of recommendation (from a teacher, volunteer coordinator, or community member)
- Your high school transcript.
- A letter of acceptance from an accredited college or university for the 2026-2027 school year.
- Two short essays (250 word max – one in Spanish, one in English)

In Spanish:
- ¿Qué es algo que valoras de la educación de DLI, que te ha ayudado a formar a la persona que eres hoy?
In English:
- Who influences you to keep going when you want to give up? Why are you influenced by this person?
