The Big Share – March 4, 2025
In March, Community Shares member agencies host a one day, on-line giving campaign “The Big Share“. This is an exciting day to reach out to supporters and to raise money for an array of organizations working toward social and environmental change. Your donations help us serve the Madison community through our work with local partners to provide an in-school food pantry that’s open to the community, free English classes for adults that include child care to reduce barriers to participation, grants for area DLI programs, scholarships for graduates of MMSD’s DLI programs, and resources, programming, and events that support the Nuestro Mundo school community. Support Our Production of The Lion King
We are currently preparing for our upcoming school performance of The Lion King and are seeking community contributions to support the production costs. Producing a musical is a significant financial undertaking, and we want to ensure our students have the resources they need to succeed.
We are raising funds to cover three essential areas:
- Staffing: Providing stipends for the directors and technical staff who are dedicating their time and expertise to guide the students.
- Costuming: Purchasing fabric and materials to create high-quality costumes for the cast.
- Sound: Renting and setting up professional audio equipment so every student can be heard clearly.
Your donation directly supports the arts at our school and helps provide a professional theatrical experience for the children. We appreciate any amount you can contribute to help us reach our goal. Thank you for your support.
