Brenda immigrated to Madison from Mexico and was raised in Wisconsin, Madison, where she now lived with her husband, two children, and dog. A proud alumna of the Information Technology Academy (ITA) at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, she serves as the Interim Director of ITA , a pre-college program focused on technology exploration, leadership development, and college preparation. Her leadership is deeply informed by her lived experience as a formerly undocumented, first-generation college graduate and bilingual professional. Brenda holds a masters of Science in Administrative Leadership from UW–Milwaukee and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from UW–Madison. Passionate about creating opportunities for youth and families who are underrepresented in higher education, she joined the Nuestro Mundo Mesa Directiva in 2025. Brenda is excited for her own children to attend the school and strongly believe in Nuestro Mundo’s mission.
