Ali Shuda
Board Member

Ali Shuda is a 1st grade teacher at Nuestro Mundo Community School and the parent of two Nuestro Mundo students. Ali finds joy in connecting with and learning from members of our strong school community.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from UW-Eau Claire, a license in Bilingual Education from Edgewood College, and a master’s degree in Educational Administration from UW-Superior.

Ali started her teaching career in Monterrey, Mexico, teaching 5th grade. After two years in Mexico, Ali returned to Wisconsin and taught for 11 years in an elementary world language program in the Waunakee Community School District, integrating social studies and Spanish instruction for K-4th graders. Ali loves teaching 1st grade at Nuestro Mundo and has been in that role since 2020.

Ali was happy to join the NMI board in 2022. She values the opportunity to connect and collaborate with others in support of bilingualism in our community and our school.
